What Is A Good Free Web Host?
Posted by: the_boz : Category: Free Hosting
Please don’t say freehostia. I was running Shimmie2 and got banned for a CPU overusage. That’s absolute ****.
It needs to have PHP 5.0 capabilities. None of that free website do-it-yourself crap, either.

I’ve been using http://www.230mb.com
They support 3 MySQL (5.0.51) DBs and PHP 5.2.6 running with apache 2.2.8
I think this will be ok for any CMS like joomla or other. Besides they have several installations scripts that will allow you to get your site running very quickly. (WordPress, Joomla, bbPHP, drupal and others)
About your CPU requirements, you should give them a try but i think It will be ok for almost any application. (unless you have manage a way to make a dead loop of course)
230MB for your site files, 6GB of monthly transfer and a high availability cluster solution waiting for your application.
give http://www.230mb.com a try and let’s talk later.
