I agree with Soruman. WP is highly sophisticated that will require a compatible server to handle all of its features. Plus, once you get rolling with your blog content, you will need reliable databases to store all your work. I will not trust a “free provider” when it comes to this sorta stuff. They may lose ALL your data one day and you’ll just kick yourself in the butt. It’s totally worth it to invest in a hosting provider.
Try http://www.hostasaurus.com. It only costs you $25/month and they host your WP blogs plus you get a free database. They have super customer service that will help you out with anything.
I know the money is always an issue, but it’s really worth it. Instead of going to the movies or eating tacos, put that money to this. :)

First lemme express what features you have to look on your new host.
Wordpress is a php & mysql based blogging software Therefore you need a host that provides at least php4 & mysql3.23. Because it uses sendmail feature for administration purposes. (Sending passwords, pending moderations etc.) the host you are going to use should provide you sendmail feature too.
There are two methods to install the wordpress database to your new host. You can manually upload the wordpress core files, create a mysql database for it using your hosts control panel, and then fill the install form at your future website. After several steps you will have a pure WordPress installation.
Another method is using the 1 click install tool at your control panel if such a thing is available. It is the simplest way for a new WordPress install. No uploads, no technical work, only define some basic settings and wait for a few minutes for the install to complete.
On either way you will have a clean wordpress setup, now you have to move your old theme files to wp-content/themes directory and required plugins to wp-content/plugins directory.
Migration will take some time, but hosting your blog on your own host, instead of blogging services like wordpress will broaden your freedom.
I started a blog about free php hosting sites at http://freephphosting.markneter.com
I’m working on it for the last 3 days, until now I’ve added 3-4 different hosts that support sendmail. (Finding a php host is simple, but finding one that supports sendmail is hard.)
If you need further help, send me a pm…
